Perched on a ridge line overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this new home is designed to embrace and engage the mountainous landscape with a series of courtyards set between three distinct volumes and extending native plantings up to the structure.

Outdoor terraces and decks follow existing grade to minimize impacts on the site. The structure, including a series of screens and green roofs, has been designed to capitalize on specific views while also ensuring privacy for the family. A material palette of natural materials — stone, concrete, raw steel, and wood — lends a softness that helps ground the structure in its place.
